Family Education
The Bible — the living Word of the living God — is where we at St Bartholomew’s see what God has done, is doing, and has yet to do in the lives of our families. The Scriptures give witness to God’s active grace in the world and to the faith of God’s people over time. It shows us a God who loves us and who helps us see our own need for God — and sharing that is the goal of family Christian education at St. Bartholomew’s.
As such, it is fitting that we help children to read, study and meet God. We strive to accomplish this via our pre-School and Sunday School classes where families can know that their children are being taught how the living Word of Jesus Christ works in their lives day by day.
Children understand the Bible in the natural manner of a child. Even so, children easily comprehend how God reaches out to them as they read the Bible and as they study the Christian faith. Our goal at St. Bart’s is to be a living resource for all families and all children. We understand our task is to guide families and children so that within their daily lives they continue to learn about the Bible and to grow in faith in Jesus Christ.
