About Life-Long Learning
Our Christian formation mission is to share the love of Jesus Christ through our words and actions, and to reconcile all people to God and each other though understanding and study.
The St. Bart’s Christian formation ministries are dedicated to life-long Christian learning. Our goal is to become a center of excellence for learning and exploring issues that affect our lives from the perspective of the Episcopal traditions of faith. It’s where we ask: what do we know and what do we need to know? It’s where we wonder (W) observe (O), reflect (R) and do it (D). It’s where the WORD comes alive as never before.
Christian Formation Goals
- Expand our knowledge about God, the Bible and the Church
- Be open to all people seeking God in everything we do
- Emphasize being a “Servant Community” to make the world a better place for all peoples
- Express sense of hopefulness - ”God is always with us”
- Encourage appreciation for diverse points of view
- Help all people of faith fulfill their Baptismal Covenant
Come Join Our Ministry of Life Long Learning
Based on our mission vision and values, we build programs that support all the people of God. We strive to provide programs that are designed as Sunday forums, Bible study, and programs for specific missions. All are welcome to participate in these programs and to hear guest preachers and lecturers.
Over the summer there are spiritual retreats, getaways to refresh the mind and spirit, and a Vacation Bible School for kids.
