Caring for Our Congregation

Last weekend we unveiled our new Bartmobile, and the nearly universal reaction was “We have a new toy!” Indeed, it is very sporty and the color is amazing. Its arrival on our campus, however, is not about play, but about caring. The old Bartmobile had seen better days, and a couple of parishioners wanted something better—and safer—for you.

St. Bart’s is blessed with a big parking lot, but it can be a long trek from the lower lot to the sanctuary. That’s why we have the Bartmobile—to shuttle people up the hill. The new Bartmobile has seat belts and bucket seats. And it is street legal, so we can even drive it out onto Pomerado Road and next door to the Vedic Center, where we sometimes have overflow parking on Christmas Eve and Easter Day. Actually, everything about it is an improvement!

When I see our new Bartmobile, I think of how much we want the best for each other. We give our thanks to the donors, and for all who generously give their treasure, time, and talent to care for our congregation.

Blessings,

Mother Nina+
