Catechumenate – Catechuminute

What is the catechumenate? An organized preparation for baptism. What is the catechism? The outline of our faith found on pages 845-62 of our Book of Common Prayer. What is the catechuminute? A 60-second social media video that explains the catechism! (Get it? Father Jacob cleverly made this up.)

At St. Bart’s, we are preparing not only for Easter but also for our bishop’s visitation. One of our youth, along with Father Jacob and me, are creating minute-long reels to answer in our own words the questions listed in the outline of our faith. Every day during Lent, a new reel will be released on St. Bart’s Facebook and Instagram accounts.

We invite you this Lent to take 60 seconds out of your day and refresh your faith with a catechism Q&A. That’s 40 minutes spread out over 40 days. Easy! We promise to make them interesting and relevant to help you get ready for Easter and the bishop.

Blessings,

Mother Nina+
