Thank You, St. Bart’s!

Dear St. Bart’s Family,

Thank you to everyone who came out to worship and hear about St. Brigid last Sunday! It was wonderful to see many of you that I hadn’t seen in a while, and so many new faces as well. And I am very grateful for all of the well-wishes for my new role at St. Andrew’s, Encinitas, and, of course, for the lovely and delicious cake!

More than anything else, though, I am thankful for the honor of being able to serve your community for the past four years. I came to St. Bart’s as a newly ordained transitional deacon back in 2022, and you have provided a home and place for me to grow into my ministry as a priest here in the Diocese of San Diego. I leave with many great memories with all of you—from ReGen services to chaparral hikes to sunrise services and Cursillo weekends—it’s been such a blessing to walk alongside the St. Bart’s community in our shared journey of faith these past few years.

Thank you for your warm welcome, your heart for ministry, and the fun, fellowship, and deep connections that have given St. Bart’s a special place in my heart. And even though this Saturday will be my last “official” day at St. Bart’s, you know that I won’t be too far away—and I look forward to seeing many of you at diocesan and other events in the future. Blessings to you all, and may God continue to guide you and empower you to be salt and light in your neighborhood and beyond!
