One Church Family

It was such a joy to celebrate St. Bart’s Day weekend with nearly 250 members in attendance! Many thanks to all who made the celebration possible. Even with the heat, we enjoyed being together and sharing a meal. One of my favorite parts was sitting inside the sanctuary after the 10 a.m. Eucharist and singing old commercial jingles: “Meow, meow, meow, meow …”

While it was wonderful to be together in person, the “Chapel Kids” did not forget our members who must stay home and simply join us online. Along with our clergy and pastoral care team, the children of our parish love to reach out to our congregation. In honor of St. Bart, they decorated 24 bags and flyers as gifts for our homebound parishioners. Each bag contained a delicious sweet bread baked by our generous parishioner Widney. That’s a lot of sweet bread loaves!

Whether we are here on campus or in our homes, always remember that we are one caring and inclusive church family. Please pray that those enjoying their bags today will know how much they are loved all year round.
