Signs and “Signs”

Thanks to the hard work of our junior warden, we now have map signs for our campus and lettering on our buildings! Given all the guests we have on campus each week, this work was critical to complete. While there is still “way-finding” work to do, it is a great step forward.

Besides these signs, you may see “signs” of other activity. As you stand in the lower parking lot and look to the right of the stairs, you may notice stakes with various colored tapes. Those stakes mark the beginning of a feasibility study for the parish center. We need to know the extent of what is underground, such as boulders and sewer lines—there’s been much St. Bart’s lore about a giant granite boulder down there! The question becomes “Is it the size of a hut or a school bus?” We will soon find out how this will impact the project.

I know many of you have been patiently wondering about the status of the Honor Faith, Build Future (HFBF) campaign and the long-delayed construction of a parish center. These “signs” are the first steps to learning more about what we can and cannot do. Once we know, we will be sure to report the findings to you.
