We now journey into our fourth week of Lent with the theme “The Depths of Renewal.” We read what is possibly the most well-known Gospel passage: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (full passage John 3:14–21). Seeds covered in soil wait for the rains and warmth of springtime. Can a seed ever imagine the plant that it will become? No, and neither can we. Only God has the power of regeneration and renewal. Jesus reveals God’s power and intention for us as we wait.
Here are your questions for Wednesday evening, March 13:
What is your definition of sin? Has your definition changed over time?
How has the love of God changed the way you see the world and the people in it?
If you haven’t yet come to a soup supper, please join us for these special evenings!
