One Revolution Around the Sun at St. Bart’s

I’m so excited that my one-year anniversary with you is fast approaching. It’s important because I will have finally experienced the full liturgical year and cycle of parish life at St. Bart’s. No longer will I be relying on other people’s descriptions of the bead tossing on Shrove Tuesday or the live donkey on Palm Sunday. I’ve seen it with my own eyes! Also, I have seen the campus grounds in all of its seasonal glory. Simply spectacular!

My anniversary is not until June 1, but I bring this up now because of promises made last summer. I want to give you plenty of lead time. In the summer of 2023, several households hosted listening sessions so that we could quickly get to know each other and hear concerns. At the end of each gathering, I proposed that we meet again in one year (summer 2024) to assess how things have gone over the first year. It’s that time! Now that we’re no longer new to each other, let’s get together again to talk frankly about how we are doing and where we are going. I look forward to this very much.
