CONNECT & GROW

at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church

Join our community of connections, relationships, and fellowship year-round on our campus and beyond.

We are

ALL CHILDREN OF GOD.

At St. Bart's we say, "All are welcome, no exceptions," and we mean all! We embrace the diversity of God's creation and welcome people of all ages, races, gender identities, sexual orientations, socio-economic situations, and political persuasions to full participation in the life and ministry of our faith community, including lay and ordained leadership.

KIDS

Birth-5th Grade

We want our children to know that they are seen, known, and loved, and that they are called to join with God's people in building a more beloved community: where love, justice, peace, kindness, and compassion prevail and everyone is welcome and accepted for who they are.

We provide programming each week during the school year to engage our kids in the stories, teachings, and love of Jesus to nurture the faith that is already within them.

PARENTS NIGHT OUT

Youth CREW, with adult volunteers, hosts Parents Night Out and helps entertain younger children aged 3-13. This monthly event provides a little break for parents and a safe and fun evening for the kids.

The event starts with drop-off, signing a waiver, and saying good-bye to parents. The evening always includes playing games, a healthy-ish dinner, watching a movie with popcorn, and enjoying crafts & activities that connect to the movie theme. Movies are selected that match the season and support our over-arching children's theme of kindness.

The details for Parent's Night Out is posted in the Weekly News and Children's Newsletter. Freewill donations ($20 first child, $10 each additional child) support our Youth CREW  trip to Disney Land.

Children's Music Program

RSCM AMERICA
CHOIR SCHOOL

In conjunction with the RSCM America (Royal School of Church Music), our Choir School for children aged 6-18 enriches your child with a well-rounded musical education by learning the fundamentals of choral music. While all choristers and their families are welcomed and encouraged to participate fully in the life of St. Bart's parish, church membership is not required, nor do you have to be an Episcopalian.

Rehearsals include warm-ups, repertoire practice, completing music theory workbooks, and periodic examinations to advance levels. Scholarships to the annual choristers' summer camps across the country are available for all participants.

Children sing once monthly in church, and at other special services throughout the year. Choir School rehearses Thursdays 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. with Associate Director Tim McLellan.
